How to search on Youtube, Wikipedia or Any Website Directly from the search bar.

For example you will be able to search on youtube by typing:

“yt cat videos”. You will be automatically directed to Youtube.

This way, you will save time. And, most importantly, you will directly go to search so you won’t be tempted to watch other videos and waste your time.
This is a really important feature for time management.

How to search on Youtube directly from search bar

This is how you do it for Google Chrome. For other browsers, there may be similar way or, you might need to download an extension. For example Search Key extension for Safari.

• Go to chrome://settings
• In the settings search bar type “site search” (:
• Scroll down to site search section
• Press add to add the website you want to search on directly
• Type anything you want in search engine section
• Type the shortcut you want to use in the Shortcut. For example “yt”
• Put this link https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=%s
  in the input field of “URL with %s in place of query”

Press add and, now your are ready to do your searches without any distraction and save this seconds in your life.

Try “(your shortcut) (search term)”
